The non-fiction book that opens our eyes to the intelligence that exists beyond humans
Plants That Speak, Animals That Sing features jungle animals like a leopard, a deer, a purple cat, and various plants and insects. Every day, in every corner of the natural world, thousands of small communicative miracles occur through signals and systems we don't even notice.
To create the illustrations for this book I relied on the author's text, which was the starting point for my artwork. Since the book is packed with information, my goal was to present it in a way that is simple, fun, and accessible to the younger audience. I wanted the book's pages to overflow with color and vitality, highlighting the diversity of nature — to transform the reader's experience into one of discovery and wonder, showcasing flora and fauna in all its glory.
Fungi that transfer nutrients to plants through their roots, bees that trace an invisible map, trees that emit a scent to attract predators — and many more are mentioned in this fascinating book.
I have always wanted to depict animals just as I see them, with their own expressive character and unique personality. Animals are what I love most in the world; they are truly incredible. And in this book, I wanted to give them the tribute they deserve.
